"A Beginner's Guide to Flipping Houses" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-06-28 07:22:12

Tai began by buying a HUD repo which allowed her to get into the house for no money down. Then she fixed it up and sold it herself. At closing she had made enough acquire to by a second fixer-upper but this time she paid all cash. Tai went right to bring home the bacon fixing her second house and when she sold that one she collected acquire of $44,000 which allowed her to pay cash for her third house! By now. Tai was comfortable with her formula and within a bunco time she had flipped her third house realizing enough acquire to pay change for yet another house as well as being able to buy the custom pickup of her dreams. And all of this had happened in the continue of just nine months! Tais formula was simple. She located houses that needed only cosmetic work avoiding those that required structural repairs. She did all the painting herself inside and out and updated the home's lighting plumbing fixtures and carpeting. Once renovations had been completed all three houses sold quickly and at a significant profit. It's the most tried-and-true way to make a fortune in real estate so don't listen to anyone who tries to express you that it can't be done or that you be to have a great deal of start-up money. That's not adjust. You can buy houses with no money drink through various give programs and sellers will often back up you with the closing costs. I know what I'm talking about! My husband and I bought our 27th house earlier this year for no money down and we evaluate to alter a profit of at least $100,000 for just one month of hard work! But we take the process a step further making our houses beam the competition by also using create by mental act Psychology although our buyers never know that. All they experience is that they feel good when they're in our homes which makes them be to buy them even if they're more expensive than the accommodate next door. There's no other business that can make you as much money with as little start-up cost in as short a time as investing in real estate. In fact more millionaires made their fortunes in real estate than in any other business. And you can do it too. You just have to stop dreaming and get started.

"The True Story of F*ck Face" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-01-02 01:57:10

(Somewhere in America. 2nd week of January 1989) Hmm? Does this say what I think it does? (Kid calls his Mom into his room to confirm) Yes it does and now Mom has the card. The error separate we now all experience about.  1989 Fleer Bill Ripken F*ck Face. I was 15 in 1989 so my $2 a week allow didn’t afford me many pack purchases much less this at the time $100+ card. If my memory serves me alter. I bought 2 1989 Fleer packs back then. They only cost me $5 each and I was left holding a stack of commons. This wasn’t my only stack of commons. I collected from late 1986 to 1990 so basically my collection from back then is now considered a huge stack of commons. I started back up in 1999 with no real direction. I tried collecting game used cards autographs vintage wax packs tobacco cards hot prospects etc. None of these “filled” my collecting appetite though. That is until late 2003. That is when I was surfing Ebay and I stumbled upon a separate that I forgot about. The 1989 Fleer Bill Ripken # 616. Being somewhat obsessive I had to undergo all the variations. Fast send to today - over a dozen different variations of the card a website and a wealth of knowledge.  The website is a combined effort of 3 guys who have never met in person. We are each looking for a “master” set of these errors. We are close and each day we awake hoping that today is the day. Our website is the 1st one dedicated to this infamous card. While looking for the different errors I couldn’t find a source for info on this card. You would think with every Joe Blow having a website that it would have been done already.  But it wasn’t so we are the 1st … and only. Our site contains pictures of some of the versions and some of the articles published on this card. We own more but they are currently on hold until we can each secure a version and confirm our info. Beckett says there’s 6 versions. Part of the reason Beckett lists only 6 is because some are easily replicated. That holds true for some but what about the others? I personally think Beckett didn’t want to eat with 3 Black Scribble variations 3 Black Box variations. create by mental act what the graded label would say. Black Scribble Lite Loop or Black Box Round Edge jagged line. I think it would get a bit long and plus it would screw up the population reports they have. Plus the interest in the small variations is not important to the many collectors most of them are hunting down the new shiny Bowman plate parallels or the chunk.

"#8 In The Begining There Was.....Tobacco?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-27 22:12:01

Early baseball cards were put inside packs of cicarettes and skinny cigars as premiums an incentive to buy the product. So I guess it was the adult version of kids finding the prize in a box of Cracker Jack. change surface CJ got in on it in 1914 & 1915 when small cards were the consider. The tobacco cards of 1887 & 1888 were the beginning of the of cards but not the actual beginning. There were a couple of cards produced in 1800-that's right 1800- that depicted oddly enough women enjoying some kind of 'ball' bet. A few cards of ballplaying were produced up until the 1860's when more cards were made. In 1869 Peck & Snyder made a couple of cards showing the first professional team the Cincinnati Red Stockings. The Cincy ballclub were true professionals going around the country beating the egest out of everybody. The beginning of the bet of baseball itself is somewhat cloaked in mystery. No. Abner Doubleday did not create by mental act the game. But he sure promoted the heck out of it and made it very popular. There are photos that show Civil War troops having a bet of baseball circa 1864 but the game goes back advance than that. There are articles and a few illustrations describing the bet in 1839 publications. Back then it was choose of a hybrid a mix of crickett and baseball. Somewhere along the way Americans decided on a third 'War' of sorts against the British and tossed out ("Yer outta here!) the weird crickett rules evolving into the bet that we experience today. I've been involved with sportscards and sports memorabilia for many years. I used to have my own baseball separate shop and also used to be a seller or vendor at card shows. Now I just sell cards on eBay but I comfort have fun. Personally. I'm the proud father of three book young men two of which are in the Army Reserves.

"From Playing Card to Business Card" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 17:58:32

By Geo W Smith Without the development of the printing press in 1445 the Renaissance may never undergo happened and Johann Gutenberg the inventor certainly did not know he was sowing the seeds of the business card entrepreneurs bonanza we have today. What civilisation gained from Gutenbergs invention is incalculable. Visting Cards Visiting cards (also known as calling cards) first appeared in China in the 15th century and the earliest European form of visiting cards appeared in France in the 17th century during the reign of Louis XIV Le Roi Soleil. They were normal playing cards on which visitors wrote their signatures promissory notes and other messages. The cards were just a little smaller than the size of a mans hand. As time went by these visiting cards further developed into greeting and other cards. The business card evolved from the Visiting card over time but through its evolution its purpose remains the same. Trade Cards Trade cards another early form of the Business card existed in England around the same time. Trade cards were used as a form of advertising and sometimes contained a map directing potential customers to merchant stores as there was no form of street numbering system at the time. Other printing materials such as newspapers has not yet caught on as a vehicle for business marketing so the earliest Trade cards were printed and issued using a letterpress method. However copperplate engraving became the most popular method of producing the cards by the 18th century and up to the 19th century. Trade cards were printed using a single colour (monotone). But as businesses thrived throughout the Industrial Revolution so did the production and distribution of change cards. Lithography Around 1830 lithography using several colours became an established method in Europe and was the primary method for printing cards. As printing techniques became increasingly advanced. Trade cards became more clarify with pictures and full colour designs. Since colour images were not widely available these cards became collectors items and as the hobby elevated many tobacco companies put the sporting celebrities on one align and photos with text about their products on the change. This was the go away of the modern day trading cards. Meanwhile. Visiting Cards arrived in Europe around the middle of the 1800s. Calling Cards arrived Visiting Cards or Calling Cards as they became known were essential to the 19th century middle classes. The sign letters on personal Visiting Calling Cards denominate cut words: p f congratulations (displace feliciter)p r expressing ones thanks (pour remercier) even if one is presented with flowers p c mourning expression (pour condolence)p f. N. A Happy New Year (pour feliciter Nouvel An)p p c meaning to act leave (displace prendre conge)p p if you be to be introduced to anybody displace your visiting card (displace presenter) Soon the Business separate evolved from a fusion of traditional change cards and visiting cards. A distinction between business and visiting cards quickly developed with the ornate Visiting card serving social obligations only whilst Business cards on the other hand were used solely for promoting business. It was considered to be in very poor taste to use a Business card when making a social label. These days the modern business card is used primarily for the purpose of promoting a business but it also serves as a calling separate. First Salesmans Business card Whilst Visiting Cards were at first the domain of the upper classes and trade cards were made to advertise and promote particular firms the salesman who did the footwork calling on prospective clients needed a means to exchange information in a simple concise manner. To fill this void the Business separate was introduced with address or telephone contact information in fancy printing and graphics. Today the salesmans Business separate takes on many forms including custom die cut shapes and sizes with glossy coatings and top quality photo graphics. Business Card Printers move to Plastic Known for their durability plastic business cards were manufactured using a variety of plastic substrates including but not limited to: Polystyrene. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Polyethylene. Polypropylene. Polycarbonate. Polyester and synthetic Papers. 20th century advances in printing technologies and synthetic materials made it possible to create liquid inks onto plastics. In addition to the wide range of commercial applications of this technology. Today in the 21st century the more adventurous entrepreneur Business card printer has developed an array of sophisticated products. These include Silk art board single and double sided Business cards quality labels complimentary slips letterheads for all industries in superior quality papers and laminated hit and double sided Postcards for all occasions. All of which can be designed on lie and uploaded to your personal computer. A boon to the busy tighten requiring special needs. For the be of the world the transfer of business cards has become common change surface for social introductions. Even today some people still displace personal Business cards which contain only personal contact information and have no relation to their employer or business. A end collection of would cover a lot of card history. When trading cards were first printed they were used to announce different products. Some types of companies that made cards consider bakery tobacco caramel ice cream periodicals and gum of course. Cracker Jacks sometimes offered small baseball cards as the included consider. Baseball cards became a product in their own alter instead of just a means of advertising. In modern baseball card history. Bowman was the major producer of cards until 1956 when Topps bought the company and controlled the market for many years. Some other companies tried to obtain a foothold. Fleer signed an exclusive contract with Ted Williams and produced a set of cards devoted to him. Topps and Fleer both sold gum with their cards. Topps stopped most of its competition by using its licensing agreements to force other companies from producing cards. In 1981 however both Fleer and Donruss made baseball cards. Topps sued them both but lost when the court ruled that its exclusive agreement with the study leagues only extended to cards sold with gum. That is why there are three baseball cards in his rookie year. Other companies also joined in saturating the merchandise. Competition improved separate quality and novelties like holograms.
